Privacy Policy

How GameRanks handles tracked entity data, community submissions, moderation context, and account activity across the current service.

Updated · May 2026

Tracked visibility

Servers, profiles, players, and forum context may be shown together to explain ranking, ownership, activity, or moderation state.

Community context

Forum posts, support threads, and private reports can be retained or reviewed to operate the service and investigate abuse.

Deletion controls

Signed-in deletion lives in Settings, and users without access can request deletion by email from this page.

This page describes the current GameRanks service experience and may be revised as product capabilities evolve.

01

Tracked game and platform data

GameRanks is built around tracked servers, public-facing profile identities, linked player entries, editorial content, favorites, follows, and forum participation. Some datasets may come from provider, operator-supplied, or public game-server feeds, while other product surfaces are derived from internal ranking and presentation systems.

  • Tracked records can include server names, IPs, ports, regions, maps, uptime windows, rank signals, and announcement history.
  • Profile and player pages can include usernames, countries, badges, linked identities, known nicknames, followed players, and recent or favorite entities.
  • Account activity can include login, signup, favorites, follows, and Trust & Safety reports associated with your current GameRanks identity.
02

How data is surfaced and used

We use product data to power directories, detail pages, charts, comparisons, moderation workflows, recommendations, and account management. We may also use platform and community data to tune ranking logic, improve discovery quality, investigate abuse, and protect the integrity of tracked entities.

  • Forum reports, moderation notes, and safety reviews may rely on linked server, profile, or player context so moderators can understand what was reported.
  • Favorites, follows, and other account actions may depend on the capabilities currently available in your GameRanks account environment.
  • We may aggregate operational and behavioral signals to detect manipulation, spam, impersonation, fraud, or abuse across GameRanks surfaces.
03

Community content and moderation

Forum posts, server submissions, article discussions, report threads, and other community-facing materials may be stored, reviewed, copied into moderation logs, or removed when needed to enforce platform rules. Private Trust & Safety report threads are intentionally restricted to moderators and the reporting user.

  • Public community content can be indexed, quoted, or summarized inside the product where that supports discovery, moderation, or context.
  • Private reports may include reporter identity, target metadata, evidence text, and moderator follow-up needed to investigate the issue.
  • We may limit visibility, edit, lock, hide, or remove content and associated metadata when required for safety, legal, or operational reasons.
04

Account data, deletion, and controls

Signed-in users can manage account settings, privacy preferences, connected accounts, and account deletion from the GameRanks settings experience. Account deletion removes the GameRanks account and associated profile data from active product surfaces, subject to limited records we may retain where needed for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or abuse handling.

  • The in-product path is Settings > Danger zone > Delete account.
  • This privacy-policy section is the public web resource for users who cannot access the signed-in settings page.
  • Support requests can be sent to ops@gameranks.elixircd.org when account access, deletion status, or privacy questions need manual review.
05

Sharing, processors, and external services

GameRanks does not sell personal information. We may process data through infrastructure, authentication, email, analytics, moderation, database, or hosting providers that help operate the service, and we may disclose limited information when required for safety, legal compliance, or abuse investigations.

  • Authentication and recovery flows may involve email delivery and OAuth providers chosen by the user.
  • Operational logs and security signals may be reviewed to diagnose failures, protect accounts, or enforce platform rules.
  • Public server, player, profile, news, and forum pages may be indexed or shared by browsers, search engines, and users.
06

Retention, security, and product stage

GameRanks may revise schemas, data visibility rules, retention windows, and source priorities as the service evolves. We reserve the right to adjust how tracked data is stored, presented, or associated across product surfaces.

  • We may keep operational logs, report evidence, moderation records, and provider-source provenance for as long as reasonably necessary to run or defend the service.
  • No statement on this page should be read as a promise of uninterrupted storage, portability, deletion tooling, or synchronization across every environment.
  • Privacy controls, account protections, and data-handling workflows may change as GameRanks expands its operational infrastructure.
