Bohemia Interactive celebrates 25 years of Operation Flashpoint with a remastered edition and source code release.

Bohemia Interactive has announced Arma: Cold War Assault Remastered, a remastered version of the classic military simulator originally released as Operation Flashpoint. The announcement was made via a Steam News post on the Arma 3 page, marking 25 years since the original game's launch.
The remastered edition includes widescreen support and updated code for better compatibility with modern hardware. A demo is currently available on Steam, with the full game set to release at a later date.
To celebrate the anniversary, Bohemia Interactive is also releasing the source code on GitHub, allowing players and modders to explore the foundations of the series. The studio expressed excitement about what the community will create with it.
The announcement was accompanied by the hashtags #CanItRunArmaCWA and #OFP25, inviting fans to share their experiences with the classic title. The remaster aims to bring the original experience to a new generation while preserving its legacy.
