This summer update is described as a regular-sized release that leverages the summer update window to bring select assets from the upcoming DayZ Badlands expansion to the community ahead of time.
According to the official announcement, Road to Badlands is not merely a pit stop to address technical issues. It includes brand new content alongside the usual bug fixes. Players can look forward to the SCR-17 Battle Rifle, which also comes with an additional Black variant for the Sakhal map.
The update introduces two new buttstocks and a magazine for the SCR-17, as well as Holo Sights. New cosmetic items include Tanker Helmets, Military Caps, Brass Knuckles, and a special new variant of the latter. The Nasdara Military area has also been expanded with new content.
