Iron Gate Studio has officially announced that Valheim 1.0 will launch on September 9, 2026, bringing the Deep North biome and full crossplay.

Iron Gate Studio has officially confirmed that Valheim 1.0 will release on September 9, 2026. The announcement was made during the PC Gaming Show earlier this month, and the developers shared the news in a Steam News post titled "Word From the Devs: See You Soon!"
The 1.0 update will include the long-awaited Deep North biome, completing the game's final major region. Additionally, the launch will feature full crossplay between platforms, allowing players on different systems to explore the Viking afterlife together.
In the lead-up to the release, the team will have a booth at Gamescom in August, giving fans a chance to see the game in person. The developers expressed excitement for players to finally experience what they have been working on.
Valheim first entered Early Access in 2021 and has since sold millions of copies. The 1.0 release marks a major milestone for the survival sandbox, which has been steadily updated with new biomes, creatures, and mechanics over the years.
